Chris Turns Blue

Turning Blue
During the Revolutionary War, General Washington wanted the lowly infantryman to be recognized.  He decided that the color blue would adorn their uniforms and thus identify them.  This century the US Army officially recognized this tradition and designated that a blue cord would be worn and blue shields surround their US and Infantry insignia while wearing their  dress uniforms .  Typically infantry MOS soldiers receive their blue cords the day prior to graduation.  This occurred on 21 November 2002 at Ft. Benning, GA.  Chris asked his father to attach the blue cord.

Chris was the tallest in his platoon so he was right guide. This makes him the left front from our view and always easy to find.
